Over the course of this thriller, Fife creates a compelling tale of an initially unseen menace, with connections to Bermuda Triangle folklore. The horror is further enhanced by well-crafted prose: “Somewhere in the distance, a scream tore through the eerie silence, its source hidden by the mist’s suffocating embrace.” Overall, Fife expertly creates a dark, forbidding atmosphere in a fast-paced, unpredictable narrative, and the stakes only get higher as the monster’s power grows. Eliana’s determination to defeat the team’s unknown enemy is undeniable, and their heroism drives the story to a thrilling ending.
