On condition that he keep his dog Ribsy out of trouble, Henry is offered a wonderful invitation- salmon fishing in September- and his appreciative audience (see Henry and Beezus and others) is in store for more laughs at his efforts to gain that end. During August and September there are some half-dozen delightful disasters. Ribsy, as any dog would, steals a policeman's lunch, needles the garbage collector, takes flight and fright at wrong moments- but to blame or not to blame, there is profit for both boy and dog, and Henry gets his fish. Another Cleary hit. Louis Darling's brisk, clean pictures are to the point.
