A common occurrence in our work-a-day world is told and illustrated with a satisfying portion of Marc Simont's pragmatic humor. Floyd, a plumber, becomes fed up with the life he leads- being on call continuously and with never a moment to himself so he buys a sail boat and goes to sea. After three lovely years alone, he docks at a small town during a storm. But there is more than bad weather in Smithville; there is bad plumbing. Lloyd undertakes to correct it and of course comes to realize Smithville as his new home. Pink and blue cartoons tell a lot about people and fixing things. Not as sturdy as it might be.
