The outrageously lippy Marcinko/Weisman team have marketed retired Commander Marcinko’s original hotheaded memoir of his years as a Navy SEAL (Rogue Warrior, 1992) into what has become a quasifictional ten-volume series. The new entry includes a big-shouldered glossary (“BFH: Big Fucking Help”) and index. It opens with Marcinko crawling through a nail-studded crawlspace under a flat in Hammersmith as he installs a fisheye lens onto the room where an IRA splinter group meets. Yes, Marcinko now takes on a secret terrorist arm of the IRA that’s been snuffing American and British top execs. And the reader gets cut into the action as Marcinko indexes his finger along the trigger guard. THWACK! Shape up! And don’t talk back, neither, or you’ll get an RDL (“Real Dirty Look”) before you can say WTF (“What The Fuck!”).
