Morning, Noon, and Night ($14.95; April 1996; 32 pp.; 1-57255-128-3): Subtitled ``Poems to Fill Your Day,'' Taberski and Doniger's first book divides the day into segments recognizable to children: ``Waking Up,'' ``On the Way to School,'' ``During the School Day,'' ``After School,'' and ``Going to Bed.'' Familiar poems by Ogden Nash, Lilian Moore, Valerie Worth, Langston Hughes, and others have been slipped amiably into these sections. Doniger's cut-paper collages fairly whistle with cheerfulness, featuring children of different races and varying capabilities, from the wheelchair-bound to a tightrope walker.
