SOLARIS

An elegant philosophical/futuristic solar bash by a Polish writer involving haunts and terrors on a space station attached to the planet Solaris lit by two suns (red and blue) and covered by an "organic ocean." Scientist Kelvin, after falling in love with one of the ocean's projections, tossed up as a model of his dead wife, confronts the reality of the "dumb, fluid colossus" and its meaning for man. It all gleams with portent.
