Done in the same manner as the illustrator's Snail, Where Are You? (1962, p. 105, J-33) but a better book, the reader must take a second look on every page to find where the shape of a shoe or two has been worked into the warmly colorful, eye-catching pictures. The shoes have been cleverly hidden in the almost textless book — a second look will bring a demand for even more.
