Geri Halliwell-Horner discussed her new children’s book on Good Morning America.

Halliwell-Horner’s Rosie Frost: Ice on Fire is scheduled for publication on Tuesday by Philomel. It is the former Spice Girl’s second fantasy novel featuring Rosie, a 13-year-old student at a school for children with extraordinary abilities. A critic for Kirkus wrote of the book, “Despite a sluggish start, this magical school series continues to enchant.” The series started in 2023 with Rosie Frost & the Falcon Queen.

“It’s [set] in the backdrop of amazing landscape, adventure, murder, but ultimately, it’s about finding that power within you, whoever you are, whatever age you are,” Halliwell-Horner said of the novel.

Asked about a possible film adaptation of her books, Halliwell-Horner said, “There are some exciting things happening, and I can’t wait to share them with you. I’m very, very, very excited. That’s a dream come true.”

Replying to a question about how she found time to write while raising children, Halliwell-Horner said, “I love being a mother, and our children are just such blessings. When they’re at school, or at nighttime—that’s what I like about writing, that you can do it anywhere. You want to maintain your sense of self and creativity, which is really important to me.”
