Jimmy Fallon wants you and your kids to have a merry Christmas.
The talk show host announced that his latest children’s book, 5 More Sleeps ’Til Christmas, will be published this fall by Macmillan imprint Feiwel and Friends, People reports.
“As my mother always said, ‘Now that the 4th of July is over, it’s time to start thinking about Christmas.’ It's always been my favorite time of year, but those last few days [before Christmas] were the biggest test of my patience,” Fallon told the magazine. “I wrote this book with that kid in mind. How many more days—or as my girls call it, ‘sleeps’—’til Christmas?”
The publisher describes the book, which is illustrated by Rich Deas, as “sweet and spirited.”
“Everyone who grew up celebrating Christmas remembers the excitement that built up to the most magical day of the year,” the publisher says. “But why not make the last week until Christmas more fun by counting how many sleeps until the arrival of Santa and his reindeer?”
This will be the fourth children’s book by Fallon, following Your Baby’s First Word Will Be DADA, Everything Is Mama, and This Is Baby.
5 More Sleeps ’Til Christmas is slated for publication on Oct. 27 (which is 59 sleeps ’til Christmas, in case you’re counting).
