Kenan Thompson will narrate the audiobook version of his upcoming children’s book, People magazine reports.
The Saturday Night Live star’s Unfunny Bunny, co-written with Bryan Tucker and illustrated by Tony Neal, follows the titular young rabbit, who is determined to be the funniest student in his school. Unfortunately, his jokes aren’t a hit with his classmates. Feiwel & Friends will publish the book next year. In its review, Kirkus wrote, “No laugh track required: This story should generate genuine giggles.”
“This laugh-out-loud tale about unexpected friendship and pursuing your dreams is a silly, lighthearted read-aloud stuffed with 30 ‘unfunny’ jokes that are sure to send readers of all ages into fits of giggles,” Feiwel & Friends says.
The book is Thompson’s second, following the essay collection When I Was Your Age: Life Lessons, Funny Stories & Questionable Parenting Advice from a Professional Clown.
“It was an absolute blast to bring this character and this story to life with my own voice,” Thompson said of the new audiobook. “Having spent so much time with the world of Unfunny Bunny, getting to narrate the audiobook was an amazing experience—I had so much fun with it and can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”
The print and audiobook editions of Unfunny Bunny are slated for release on January 13, 2026.
