Lindsay Lohan will star in a Hulu series adaptation of Sophie Stava’s Count My Lies, Deadline reports.

Stava’s thriller, published last month by Gallery Books, follows Sloane Caraway, a compulsive liar who becomes a nanny for a wealthy couple, Jay and Violet Lockhart, after falsely claiming to be a nurse. A critic for Kirkus praised the book as “a page-turning thrill ride of a story from a debut novelist.”

Lohan, known for her roles in films including The Parent Trap, Freaky Friday, and Mean Girls, will play Violet; she will also serve as an executive producer. The series will be written by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, the co-showrunners of This Is Us and executive producers of How I Met Your Father and Love, Victor. Stava will be a producer on the series.

Stava announced news of the series on Instagram, writing, “I’m freaking out. My heart is pounding, hands are shaking as I type this—not only did @20thcenturystudios option Count My Lies for a series in development with @hulu, written by the brilliant @iaptaker and @bergernight, but the wildly talented, gorgeous, fetchest of fetch @lindsaylohan is set to STAR! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?! I am so grateful.”
