Susan Lucci will take a look back at her life and career in a new memoir.
Blackstone will publish the actor’s La Lucci, co-written with Laura Morton, next year, the press announced in a news release. It says the book “explores Susan’s journey through love, joy, reinvention, and resilience in the face of profound loss—both personal and professional.”
Lucci had bit roles in films and television series before being cast as Erica Kane in the soap opera All My Children. She played the role for 41 years, earning 21 Daytime Emmy Award nominations. Her failure to win the award multiple times was a sore point with fans until she finally took home the prize in 1999.
After All My Children ended, Lucci acted in series including Hot in Cleveland and Devious Maids. She is currently set to star in the forthcoming film Outcome, directed by Jonah Hill and also featuring Hill, Keanu Reeves, and Cameron Diaz.
In the memoir—her second, following All My Life in 2011—Lucci “shares the pivotal moments that have shaped her perspective and ability to move forward with gratitude, hope, and grace,” Blackstone says.
Lucci announced the new book on Good Morning America, saying, “Fifteen years after my first book was released, I’m back to share new chapters in my life.…It’s an intimate glimpse into my life with stories I’ve never told before. This book is directly from my heart. I can’t wait for you to read it.”
La Lucci is scheduled for publication on Feb. 3, 2026.
