Chelsea Handler will tell the story of her life in a new essay collection coming next year, People magazine reports.
The Dial Press will publish the comedian’s I’ll Have What She’s Having this winter. The press says that in the book, Handler “shares her unforgettable story of becoming the woman she always wanted to be.”
Handler rose to prominence as the host of The Chelsea Handler Show and Chelsea Lately, both of which aired on the E! network, and later hosted the Netflix talk show Chelsea. She is the author of six previous books, including My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands; Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea; and Life Will Be the Death of Me: …And You Too!
In her new book, the Dial Press says, Handler “captures the antic-filled, exhilarating, and joyful life she’s built—a life that makes the rest of us think, I’ll have what she’s having.”
Handler announced her new book on Instagram, writing, “I can’t wait to share with you so many of the stories, adventures, ridiculousness, and lessons that have helped shape the woman I am today. And the most important lesson of all: how to find light in the darkness.”
I’ll Have What She’s Having is scheduled for publication on Feb. 25, 2025, Handler’s 50th birthday.
